How Dockflow started

Pauline Van Ostaeyen and Michiel Valee met as students at the University of Antwerp. Michiel’s thesis research on data sharing in maritime logistics kept running into the same problem: freight forwarders were managing container visibility by hand, in spreadsheets, carrier portals and phone calls.

They started with consulting projects for maritime companies and turned what they saw into software. Today Dockflow is a LogOps platform: it tracks containers, automates the follow-up and lets every partner on a shipment work from the same data, built by a team at The Beacon in Antwerp.

What we’re building

Our goal is to be the LogOps standard: the platform logistics teams reach for first, every morning.

Last year $21 billion worth of cargo moved through Dockflow, across the supply chains of more than 15,000 companies.

    Dockflow tracks containers across 120+ ocean carriers, including long-tail lines. Carrier data is combined with AIS vessel positions, terminal data and Portbase.

  • Automations that flag what matters

    No-code automations flag delays and milestones, and free-time monitoring alerts you before charges hit, so your team sees which containers need attention today.

  • One view for every partner

    Forwarders give their clients a white-label customer portal, under their own brand. Dockflow sits beside your TMS or FMS, where bookings, rates and dossiers stay.
