Carrier, AIS, terminal and Portbase data in one view

Dockflow tracks containers across 120+ ocean carriers, including long-tail lines. Carrier data is combined with AIS vessel positions, terminal data and Portbase, so every container’s status stays up to date.

Dockflow is an official Portbase software supplier. In Rotterdam it shows arrival, customs and gate-out status per bill of lading through Portbase Cargo Controller Import; in Antwerp, release status through NxtPort Certified Pickup and T-Mining.

Sensor data next to your TMS

TrakAssure and LoRaWAN IoT sensors report reefer temperature into Dockflow, with an alert when a reading crosses your threshold. Dockflow sits beside your TMS or FMS, where bookings, rates and dossiers stay. The Trident API, including free-time calculation, feeds that data into your TMS.

Frequently asked questions about container visibility

Can we make custom views?

Yes, Dockflow allows you to create custom views tailored to your container visibility needs. With its flexible and intuitive dashboard, you can configure filters, data displays, and tracking insights to align perfectly with your specific logistics operations. This ensures you always see the most relevant information for managing container movements effectively.

How do I start tracking containers in Dockflow?

Add a container number or bill of lading, or import many containers at once with the Excel bulk import, and Dockflow tracks them automatically. Carrier data is combined with AIS vessel positions, terminal data and Portbase, so your team stops checking carrier websites one by one. Dockflow customers can be live in under 24 hours, with guided training and implementation available. The steps are in the Dockflow knowledge base.

Can I see customs and release status for my containers?

Yes, for containers arriving in Rotterdam and Antwerp. Next to the carrier milestones, each container shows its port status: in Rotterdam, arrival, customs and gate-out per bill of lading from Portbase Cargo Controller Import, and discharge and gate-out from ECT MyTerminal; in Antwerp, the release status from NxtPort Certified Pickup and T-Mining. The connections run on your own Portbase and ECT subscriptions.

Can Dockflow monitor the temperature of reefer containers?

Yes. TrakAssure and LoRaWAN IoT sensors report the temperature of your reefer containers into Dockflow, next to each container’s tracking status. You set a threshold and get an alert when a reading crosses it, so your team can follow up on a deviation straight away. More on temperature tracking.

How can supply chain visibility software help with supply chain performance evaluation?

Visibility software like Dockflow turns tracked containers into performance data. The Dockflow Management Dashboard compares carrier performance, shows trade-lane and corridor views, and gives a dwell overview in days, from discharge to gate-out. That shows which carriers and lanes run late and where containers wait, so you can take it up with your partners.

Why is supply chain visibility important?

Supply chain visibility is essential as it provides insights into shipments that are always up to date, enabling proactive decision-making and minimizing disruptions. With accurate, actionable data across every stage of the supply chain, visibility streamlines operations and enhances collaboration with partners. Dockflow adds free-time monitoring with alerts before charges hit. More on demurrage tracking.

What is supply chain visibility software?

Supply chain visibility software delivers insights into shipments, inventory, and logistics processes by consolidating data from multiple sources. It enables businesses to track progress, anticipate disruptions, and optimize operations with confidence. Dockflow takes visibility further with tracking that is always up to date, AI predictions for arrival, berthing and unloading, and CO2 per container from RealCalc, on the GLEC framework.

How to improve visibility in the supply chain?

Improving visibility in the supply chain requires data that is always up to date, integrated systems, and collaboration across stakeholders. Dockflow consolidates data from AIS, IoT sensors, terminals and shipping lines into one platform: carrier data is combined with AIS vessel positions, terminal data and Portbase. On top of that come AI predictions for arrival, berthing and unloading, and alerts to act on disruptions early.
